Volunteering is powerful and it does so much. Since our ultimate goal is to change society as a whole, we know we need to focus on changing and overcoming misperceptions and misjudgements. Similar to our efforts to change society through our experiences, we believe that through improving understanding and promoting awareness of the issues we are working on to a broader public, we can make change viral. Our events provide first-hand experience to start that change on an individual level; however, we don’t want our efforts to end after each event. This is why behind the scenes, we are working tirelessly to better understand these problems and generate awareness to further compel our community and society as a whole. This awareness and compassion content is meant to be shared as widely as possible.
